Yema and French watchmaker and modernist artist Alain Silberstein have joined forces to create a limited-edition timepiece that merges fine watchmaking with contemporary art. This collaboration is limited to just 500 pieces, showcasing Yema’s micro-rotor caliber and Silberstein’s bold design sensibility.
Pre-orders for this limited release will open on Monday, October 21st, with 250 timepieces available for purchase through Yema’s online store at €3,900. Each watch is individually numbered, enhancing its exclusivity.
A Bold Design by Alain Silberstein
Known for his unique approach to design, Alain Silberstein has applied his signature use of primary colors and geometric shapes to the dial. The watch features a black dial with vibrant red, yellow, and blue hands in playful shapes—a red triangle for the hour hand, a yellow arrow for the minute hand, and a blue star-shaped second hand. These playful features are enhanced by the watch’s three-dimensional markers, which are fully coated in Super-LumiNova, adding depth and dynamic illumination.
Advanced Engineering in Titanium
The 40mm case, made from Grade 5 titanium and coated with DLC, is both lightweight and durable. The dual-crown design contributes to the watch’s symmetrical aesthetic. The upper crown, finished in blue Cerakote ceramic, operates the internal rotating dive bezel, while the lower crown handles the time setting and winding.
The sapphire crystal case back allows a view of Yema’s CMM.20 micro-rotor caliber, designed by French watchmaker Olivier Mory. This ultra-thin movement has a thickness of just 3.70 mm and offers a 70-hour power reserve, providing both elegance and precision.
Technical Features for Collectors
In addition to its artistic design, the Yema x Alain Silberstein timepiece is equipped with features designed for everyday wear and function. The Super-LumiNova markers ensure clear readability in low-light conditions, while the bi-directional dive bezel enhances the watch’s practicality. The titanium case, rubber straps, and deployant clasp offer durability, making the watch suitable for both collectors and those seeking a functional luxury timepiece.
