Hublot and renowned designer Samuel Ross continue their celebrated collaboration with the unveiling of the Big Bang Tourbillon Carbon SR_A Edition. Presented during Miami Art Week, this striking timepiece pushes the boundaries of design and materials, combining bold aesthetics with cutting-edge watchmaking. Limited to just 50 pieces, it is a testament to Hublot’s philosophy of fusion and innovation.
A Bold New Look
Retaining the iconic 44mm diameter and 13.75mm thickness of the Big Bang series, the Carbon SR_A Edition features a distinctive honeycomb motif across its frosted grey carbon case and bezel. The bezel’s two-tone finish combines a satin-finished top with a shiny microblasted side, creating a dynamic interplay of textures. A new chromatic direction emerges with accents of blue—from the light blue crown moulding to the dual shades of blue adorning the hands and hour markers. The perforated dark blue rubber strap mirrors the honeycomb pattern, offering both style and comfort.
The dial, crafted from sapphire crystal, reveals the intricate workings of the Manufacture HUB6035 caliber. Enhanced with Super-LumiNova, the hour markers and indexes ensure legibility, with dark blue accents at 4 and 7 o’clock and light blue at 9 o’clock.
Masterful Movement
At the heart of the Big Bang Tourbillon Carbon SR_A Edition is the HUB6035 self-winding micro-rotor movement. Comprising 264 components, this skeletonized tourbillon offers exceptional precision and aesthetic appeal. Positioned at 6 o’clock, the tourbillon is a visual centerpiece, reflecting Hublot’s mastery of mechanical engineering. The movement operates at a frequency of 3 Hz (21,600 vibrations per hour) and provides a robust 72-hour power reserve, ensuring reliability and performance.
Designed for Exclusivity
Hublot’s commitment to exclusivity is evident in the meticulous attention to detail in this edition. The watch comes in a specially designed collector’s box, highlighting its status as a limited-edition masterpiece. Customers also receive an additional black smooth rubber strap, offering versatility in style.
