Farer Endurance Limited Editions: A Celebration of Bold Design and Precision

Farer’s latest additions to the Three Hand Limited Editions Collection—the Endurance and the Endurance Eastern Arabic—blend meticulous craftsmanship with adventurous design. Inspired by exploration and innovation, these timepieces elevate the concept of a classic three-hand Swiss watch.

Striking Dials with Vibrant Accents

Both limited editions feature dials that combine layered finishes and bold color accents for exceptional depth and legibility. The Endurance showcases a brushed graphite grey dial, while the Endurance Eastern Arabic adds a distinctive touch with Eastern Arabic numerals rendered in Lumicast. Jade green accents throughout the dials highlight Farer’s commitment to dynamic, visually compelling designs.

The hour markers, crafted from Lumicast—a mix of Super-LumiNova and ceramic—produce a vibrant backlit glow. The syringe-style hands in dark green, filled with white Super-LumiNova, enhance readability. Meanwhile, the jade green seconds hand, tipped with an orange Farer ‘A’, adds a playful yet refined flourish.

Precision Engineering Meets Advanced Materials

The 39.5mm case, made from 316L marine-grade stainless steel, is treated with a gunmetal grey TiCN PVD coating. This finish not only enhances scratch resistance but also gives the steel a sleek, ceramic-like appearance. Measuring just 10.8mm thick, the case is designed for both durability and everyday comfort.

A boxed sapphire crystal with internal anti-reflective coating protects the dial, while the exhibition caseback reveals the meticulously finished La Joux-Perret G101 movement. With water resistance up to 50 meters, these watches are as practical as they are stylish.

Powered by Swiss Excellence

At the heart of both models lies the La Joux-Perret G101 automatic movement. Boasting a 68-hour power reserve and operating at a smooth 28,800 vibrations per hour, this caliber is renowned for its reliability. Finished to La Joux-Perret’s soignée standard, the movement’s performance and precision make it a standout feature. Notably, the movement has no ‘ghost’ date wheel, ensuring a clean and uninterrupted dial layout.

Inspired by Shackleton’s Endurance

The collection takes its name from the legendary ship used by Sir Ernest Shackleton during his 1914–1917 Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition. Despite being trapped and ultimately crushed by pack ice, the story of the Endurance symbolizes resilience and determination. This historical connection reinforces the watches’ themes of exploration and perseverance.

In 2022, the wreck of the Endurance was discovered in remarkable condition beneath the icy depths of the Weddell Sea. It has since been designated a protected historic site under the Antarctic Treaty System, further cementing its legacy.
