Jaeger-LeCoultre Duometre Chronograph Moon

Jaeger-LeCoultre Unveils the Duometre Chronograph Moon: A Marriage of Precision and Elegance

Jaeger-LeCoultre, renowned for its mastery of precision watchmaking, introduces the Duometre Chronograph Moon, a timepiece that seamlessly blends the precision of a chronograph with the enchantment of a celestial complication. Launched at Watches and Wonders 2024, this extraordinary watch marks a new chapter in Jaeger-LeCoultre’s rich history of horological innovation.

A Legacy of Precision

In 2007, Jaeger-LeCoultre revolutionized the watchmaking world with the Duometre mechanism, featuring two separate barrels and gear trains integrated into a single caliber. This breakthrough allowed for precise timekeeping without compromising the operation of complications. Now, in 2024, Jaeger-LeCoultre applies this ingenious concept to create the Duometre Chronograph Moon, powered by the new Calibre 391.

An Entirely New Timepiece

The Duometre Chronograph Moon debuts in two variations: a platinum case with a copper-colored dial and a pink gold case paired with a silver dial. Both models boast a hand-stitched alligator strap, exuding sophistication and refinement.

Solving the Conundrum of Complications

The Duometre mechanism resolves the challenge of complex mechanical watches by providing separate power sources for timekeeping and complications. Calibre 391 takes this innovation further, integrating a mono-pusher chronograph with moon phase and night-day complications, along with two power reserve indicators and a flying second display.

A Fascinating Display and Refined Details

The dial of the Duometre Chronograph Moon is a testament to elegance and functionality. Featuring a three-counter layout and long, thin hands, the dial offers a clear and intuitive reading experience. The moon phase display is integrated into the chronograph sub-dial at 3 o’clock, while the Night and Day display sits within the time sub-dial at 9 o’clock.

A New Duometre Case: Contemporary Elegance Inspired by Tradition

To complement its innovative movement, the Duometre Chronograph Moon sports an entirely new case design inspired by Jaeger-LeCoultre’s 19th-century savonette pocket watches. With rounded contours and a convex crystal, the case exudes a blend of modernity and tradition.

A Testament to Creativity and Precision

With its groundbreaking movement, refined dial design, and elegant case, the Duometre Chronograph Moon exemplifies Jaeger-LeCoultre’s commitment to excellence and innovation. This timepiece is a celebration of precision engineering and timeless elegance, reaffirming Jaeger-LeCoultre’s position as a leader in haute horlogerie.
