Speake Marin Unveils the New Ripples Infinity Date at Watches and Wonders 2024
Speake Marin introduces the latest addition to its renowned RIPPLES collection: the Ripples Infinity Date. This new model, showcasing a metallic silver dial, expands upon the collection’s theme of combining sport-chic elegance with innovative design.
A Modern Classic: The Ripples Collection
Launched in 2022, the RIPPLES collection marks Speake Marin’s foray into the sport-chic genre with its stainless steel construction. Designed by Stéphane Lacroix, the collection is characterized by its distinctive “La City” case, inspired by London’s architectural landscape, and its unique dial featuring twelve three-dimensional horizontal “ripples.” The heart-tipped hour hand pays homage to London’s iconic Big Ben.

At Watches and Wonders 2024, Speake Marin reveals the Ripples Infinity Date, featuring a striking metallic silver dial. The use of white, in various shades, symbolizes purity and infinity, evoking a sense of boundless exploration and elegance. The new model is designed to be versatile, seamlessly fitting both urban and formal settings.
Design and Craftsmanship
The Ripples Infinity Date stands out with its harmonious blend of contemporary and classic design elements:
- Case: Measuring 40.3 mm in diameter and 9.2 mm in thickness, the stainless steel case features a polished and satin finish. It includes a screw-down crown protection—a unique feature in the Speake Marin collection—and a transparent case back to showcase the movement. The case is water-resistant up to 5 ATM and is complemented by an integrated three-row satin-finished steel bracelet with a polished central link.
- Dial: The dial is adorned with twelve hand-satin-finished horizontal ripples in rhodium-plated metallic silver. The simplicity of the dial, with its polished rhodium-plated indices and heart-tipped hour hand, creates a dynamic interplay of light and shadow. The small seconds counter at 1:30 features a sunray decoration with shiny black indices.
- Movement: The Ripples Infinity Date is powered by the in-house self-winding calibre SMA03-TD. This movement, notable for its fully integrated tungsten micro-rotor, boasts 52 hours of power reserve and is finished with Geneva stripes, hand-polished bevels, and a unique Speake Marin embossed motif.
