Opening Zenith Boutique Bangkok at Siam Paragon

Zenith Unveils First Standalone Boutique in Bangkok at Siam Paragon

Swiss luxury watchmaker Zenith has officially launched its first standalone boutique in Bangkok, marking a significant milestone for the brand. The grand opening event, held at Siam Paragon, was a glittering affair, attended by a host of watch enthusiasts, VIPs, and industry insiders, all gathered to celebrate Zenith’s new venture in Thailand.

A Starry Opening Ceremony

In a departure from traditional ribbon-cutting ceremonies, the evening featured a unique lighting of a star. Zenith’s CEO Benoit de Clerck, along with Emilie Bruyer, Brand Director of Zenith SEA, Ong Ban, CEO of Sincere Fine Watches, Joseph Wee, General Manager of Pendulum, Tipanat Lenbury, Senior Executive Vice President of Sales & Business Relations at Siam Piwat, and Thai celebrity Jaylerr, gathered to illuminate a blue star. This symbolic act reflects Zenith’s guiding philosophy of “Time to Reach Your Star.”

An Immersive Boutique Experience

The new boutique, a collaboration with Thailand’s leading luxury watch retailer, Pendulum, immerses visitors in Zenith’s world. The store’s design prominently features a central blue element stretching from floor to ceiling, evoking a starry night sky. The boutique offers an extensive selection of Zenith collections, including exclusive editions and novelties from Watches & Wonders 2024.

Among the highlights are the DEFY Skyline Chronograph and DEFY Extreme Diver. The DEFY Skyline Chronograph, a new addition to the DEFY Skyline range, features the El Primero 3600 calibre, Zenith’s latest automatic chronograph movement. With a high frequency of 5 Hz, the chronograph seconds hand completes a full revolution every 10 seconds, allowing for precision measurements down to 1/10th of a second. Its 42mm stainless-steel case, 14-sided bezel, and starry sky-patterned dial emphasize Zenith’s legacy of chronograph innovation.

The DEFY Extreme Diver, inspired by Zenith’s diver watches from 1969, is built for extreme conditions. It features a 42.5mm titanium case with a helium escape valve, a unidirectional ceramic bezel with Super-LumiNova for underwater readability, and a water resistance of up to 600 meters. Powered by the El Primero 3620-SC calibre, it boasts a 60-hour power reserve and includes interchangeable straps, including an extra-long one made from recycled fishing nets.

Celebrating a New Era

Benoit de Clerck, CEO of Zenith, expressed his excitement about the new boutique: “The opening of our first standalone boutique in Bangkok is a proud moment for Zenith. We are thrilled to share our passion for fine watchmaking with the vibrant community in Thailand.”

Joseph Wee, General Manager of Pendulum, added: “The opening of the Zenith boutique at Siam Paragon is a significant milestone for both Zenith and Pendulum. This boutique not only showcases Zenith’s unparalleled craftsmanship and innovative spirit but also strengthens our commitment to providing Thai watch enthusiasts with exceptional timepieces and a unique shopping experience.”
