Swatch Unveils the Bioceramic MoonSwatch Mission to the Super Blue Moonphase
Celebrating the First Super Blue Moon of the Year and the Festive Spirit of Summer
Swatch has unveiled its latest addition to the Bioceramic MoonSwatch Collection: the Bioceramic MoonSwatch Mission to the Super Blue Moonphase. This new model pays tribute to both the summer season and the first super blue moon of the year on August 19.
Designed to capture the essence of summer, the Mission to the Super Blue Moonphase will be available from August 1 to August 19. The watch will be sold exclusively during the evening hours from 5pm onwards at select Swatch locations.
This model features a chronograph function and a multi-shade blue moon phase with UV ink, positioned at the 2 o’clock subdial against a dark celestial background. A blue pulsometer scale with white markers on the Bioceramic bezel adds functionality. Unlike other models in the collection with a tachymeter function, the pulsometer allows wearers to measure their heart rate by timing 30 heartbeats.
The watch also includes a panda dial—a silver-opaline main dial with contrasting blue subdials. Various shades of blue, from light to dark, enhance its visual appeal.
Constructed from Swatch’s Bioceramic, a mix of two-thirds ceramic and one-third biosourced materials from castor oil, the watch features the mission statement on the back of the case and the OMEGA X SWATCH logos on the dial and crown. A blue moon motif is on the battery cover, and a blue VELCRO® strap adds a final touch.
The Mission to the Super Blue Moonphase draws inspiration from OMEGA’s Speedmaster Moonwatch, the first watch worn on the moon. It features the Speedmaster’s asymmetrical case and subdials, blending tradition with modern design.
Available exclusively from August 1 to August 19, this model can be purchased at selected Swatch stores and pop-up locations, with a limit of one watch per person per day. To find the nearest sales point, visit the store locator on swatch.com.
