A. Lange & Söhne at Concours of Elegance Germany at Lake Tegernsee

A Successful Premiere: A. Lange & Söhne at the First Concours of Elegance Germany at Lake Tegernsee.

On July 26th and 27th, 2024, the inaugural Concours of Elegance Germany brought together automobile enthusiasts at the historic Gut Kaltenbrunn estate on Lake Tegernsee. The event featured 50 of the world’s rarest and most valuable classic cars, alongside 150 additional exhibits from specialist Concours and car clubs, set against the picturesque Alpine backdrop.

Showcasing Mechanical Masterpieces

The technical excellence and elegant mechanics of the historic vehicles provided a fitting platform for A. Lange & Söhne to showcase its timepieces, which are manufactured to the same standards of perfection. These timepieces, like the classic cars on display, represent the pinnacle of engineering and innovative technical solutions.

Highlights of the Event

The highlight of the competition was the ceremonial presentation of the “Best of Show” award on Friday. Peter Justenhoven, Director Europe at A. Lange & Söhne, presented a certificate with a hand-engraved balance cock made of gold-plated German silver to the owner of a Lancia Astura Pinin Farina Cabriolet. On Saturday, Justenhoven also honored the winner of the “Thirty Under 30” category for her BMW Isetta.

A Platform for Exchange and Innovation

“As a German manufacture, it was an honor for us to contribute to this top-class event taking place in our home country for the first time,” said Lange CEO Wilhelm Schmid. “We took this special opportunity to exchange ideas with ambitious collectors from all over the world. Precision, craftsmanship, and timeless beauty – this interplay, which also characterizes our timepieces, made the event a unique experience.”

The Concours of Elegance Germany not only celebrated the beauty and engineering of classic cars but also provided a unique opportunity for A. Lange & Söhne to connect with collectors and enthusiasts who share a passion for mechanical excellence.
