New Sapphire Bezel with Super-LumiNova
The Navygraf Marine Nationale, featuring the CMM.10 Manufacture Caliber that offers chronometric performance and a 70-hour power reserve, is now available with a new full Super-LumiNova sapphire bezel and an MN parachute strap in matching colors. This refined, enhanced take on the historic 1970s model was developed in collaboration with Marine Nationale military personnel. The watch boasts a sleek steel case, great dial legibility, 300m water resistance, and impressive chronometric performance.
The UBH (Union de la Bijouterie Horlogerie) awarded the French Watch of the Year 2024 trophy to the new Navygraf Marine Nationale Manufacture edition, recognizing its excellence in design and the significant proportion of French-made components.
Collaboration with Marine Nationale
Yema, as an official partner of the Marine Nationale, designs purpose-built tool watches for both military and the general public, manufactured to full military specifications. The new Navygraf, equipped with the latest Manufacture caliber, epitomizes this prestigious collaboration. These military-grade dive watches are designed to withstand the toughest conditions, ensuring complete reliability and precision for military divers on dangerous underwater missions.
Design and Features
The new 39mm 316L stainless steel case features enhanced proportions and brushed finishes contrasted with polished chamfers. The case has been refined by 1.50mm in thickness to accommodate the new Manufacture caliber CMM.10, while maintaining a comfortable 46mm lug-to-lug. The optimized sapphire exhibition case back and solid screw-down crown, adorned with the French Navy anchor, ensure 300 meters of water resistance.
The hour and minute hands, inspired by the 1970s Navygraf model, are fully white-coated, providing strong contrast against the monochromatic dial for quick and accurate time reading. The iconic Navygraf sweep second hand in yellow, along with the Navygraf calligraphy in matching yellow, adds a touch of color and character to this historic model reinterpretation. The blue-white dial, featuring printed hour markers treated with Super-LumiNova, offers a vintage look. The absence of a date window enhances dial symmetry and legibility, while the Marine Nationale mention at 6 o’clock underscores the watch’s military pedigree. The scratch-resistant sapphire bezel, with a uni-directional count-up function, assists military divers in tracking elapsed time underwater.
Exhibition Case-Back and Durability
The sapphire crystal exhibition case-back reveals the CMM.10 Manufacture caliber, securing 30 BAR (300m) water resistance. The Marine Nationale official logo is discreetly printed within the crystal. Each case-back is engraved with a unique serial number, corresponding to a 5-year warranty card. All dial markers, bezel, and hands are coated with Grade A Super-LumiNova for perfect readability in the dark. The 2.20 mm thick double-dome sapphire crystal offers better readability, increased resistance, and a vintage aesthetic.
Diver Steel Bracelet and Parachute Strap
The 316L stainless steel band, featuring a secure lock and diver extension, allows for easy adjustment over a diving suit. The Marine Nationale parachute strap, originally handmade by French Marine Nationale combat divers in the 1970s, offers a durable and stylish alternative to NATO straps.
