Athletics Night at Omega House Paris Celebrates Olympic Achievements
As the athletics events of Paris 2024 come to a close, Omega House hosted a special evening on Friday to honor the track and field competitors from this summer’s Olympic Games.
The event featured appearances by several of Omega’s sporting ambassadors. These included legendary track and field athlete Marie-José Pérec and High Jump gold medallist Yaroslava Mahuchikh. Additionally, there were javelin silver medallist Neeraj Chopra, sprinter Erriyon Knighton, decathlete Simon Ehammer, and former Olympic gold medallist Dalilah Muhammad.
Omega House is located in Paris. It serves as the Swiss brand’s luxurious home during the Olympic Games. Omega is fulfilling its role as Official Timekeeper. Athletics Night was a highlight of the event series, celebrating those who embodied the Olympic motto of “Faster, Higher, Stronger.”
Omega President and CEO Raynald Aeschlimann addressed the guests, saying, “After all the training and high-pressure competition, this event is a perfect tribute to those who competed at Paris 2024. They deserve this recognition for their hard work and for all the thrills they’ve given the spectators and timekeepers. Omega says well done to them all.”
Omega has a long-standing connection with athletics through its role as a timekeeper at the Olympic and Paralympic Games and the prestigious Diamond League. Over the decades, the brand has developed various timing equipment that athletes rely on. This includes starting blocks with false start detection, the electronic starting pistol, and this year’s new Scan’O’Vision ULTIMATE photofinish camera.
Located at The Hôtel de Poulpry, Maison des Polytechniciens, near the Musée d’Orsay, Omega House Paris highlights the brand’s role as Official Timekeeper of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024. The venue offers members a sophisticated space to relax during the day, while hosting VIP events and themed evenings at night. Omega House will remain open to members until Saturday, August 10th.
