Citizen is set to release two models in its Iconic Nature Collection under The Citizen line, showcasing the brand’s dedication to precision and craftsmanship. Available from October 17, 2024, these watches combine the latest Eco-Drive technology with traditional Japanese materials. Each model, limited to 350 pieces worldwide, reflects the fleeting beauty of nature through intricately designed Tosa Washi dials.
Marrying Tradition with Innovation: The Tosa Washi Dials
The Iconic Nature Collection features two unique designs, each inspired by different natural elements:
- AQ4100-65H: This model captures the patterns of wind and sand through Tosa Seicho Washi. The fine texture is enhanced by a blue-grey gradient, evoking natural sand ripples. The watch is encased in Super Titanium™ with a Duratect Platinum coating, ensuring both durability and lightweight wearability.
- AQ4106-18X: Inspired by the glow of the moon, this model features Tengujo Washi, delicately layered to create a mist-like effect over the dial. The case is made from Duratect DLC-coated Super Titanium™ and paired with a Chari Hapo leather strap, offering both visual elegance and a handcrafted touch.
High Precision Meets Eco-Friendly Power
Both models are equipped with Citizen’s Cal. A060 movement, which offers an impressive annual deviation of ±5 seconds. As part of the Eco-Drive series, these watches are powered by light, eliminating the need for battery changes and ensuring a sustainable, energy-efficient solution. The built-in perpetual calendar function provides accurate date tracking until February 28, 2100, without manual adjustments.
Citizen’s signature Super Titanium™ technology ensures the watches are highly resistant to scratches and corrosion, while remaining about 40% lighter than stainless steel. Combined with dual-curved sapphire glass with anti-reflective coating, the timepieces are built to endure while maintaining a sophisticated aesthetic.
