Ace Jewelers & Nivada Grenchen Reveal Their Third Collaboration: The F77 Amsterdam, a Limited Edition of 50 Pieces

  • Limited Edition: The F77 Amsterdam is limited to only 50 pieces.
  • Foundation: This watch builds upon the F77, an affordable and well-equipped sports watch inspired by the 1970s, featuring an integrated bracelet.
  • Design: The F77 Amsterdam edition features a sleek black dial, omitting the basket weave pattern, with red ‘XXX’ for Amsterdam and a red seconds hand.

Ace Jewelers and Nivada Grenchen are excited to announce the F77 Amsterdam wristwatch, their latest collaboration. This limited edition timepiece is a unique take on the original F77 model, featuring subtle yet significant design changes. Limited to just 50 pieces, this watch is poised to become a true collector’s item.

Ace Jewelers x Nivada Grenchen F77 Amsterdam

The Nivada Grenchen F77 Amsterdam limited edition for Ace Jewelers features a sleek matte black dial, replacing the regular edition’s basket weave pattern. This change gives the watch a more streamlined and minimalist appearance. The dial pays homage to Ace Jewelers’ Amsterdam heritage with three applied red X’s below the Nivada logo, referencing the iconic Amsterdam city shield. The red seconds hand contrasts sharply against the matte black dial, enhancing readability.

“After two successful limited editions based on the Super Antarctic, we wanted to branch out to another favorite in the Nivada lineup – the F77. The matte black dial of our Amsterdam edition gives the watch a more instrumental look, emphasizing the industrial lines of the case. We’re also proud to represent the city we call home with the three red X’s, a recurring theme in our Amsterdam series of watches,” says Alon Ben Joseph of Ace Jewelers.

Nivada Grenchen F77

The story of the F77’s rebirth began on Instagram in late winter 2022, when a vintage watch collector posted a photo of a rare Nivada Grenchen model: an F77, 37mm in diameter with a black basket weave dial. Guillaume Laidet, CEO of the brand, came across this watch while scrolling through his feed. Seeing the watch for sale, Guillaume bought it immediately and posted a wrist shot of the original F77, receiving a flood of likes and comments. This prompted him to prioritize a reissue of the F77 for 2023. Since then, the reborn F77 has become a firm favorite within the Nivada lineup.

“Collaborating with Ace Jewelers allows us to explore new creative horizons while staying true to our heritage. The F77 Amsterdam edition is a testament to our craftsmanship and dedication to delivering exceptional timepieces that resonate with collectors and watch enthusiasts alike,” says Guillaume Laidet, CEO of Nivada Grenchen.
