San Francisco, CA – Catering to the discerning tastes of watch aficionados, A. Lange & Söhne inaugurates its latest retail haven in the heart of San Francisco’s Union Square. Situated discreetly on the third floor of the iconic Sachs Building at 140 Geary Street, this newly opened Salon represents the esteemed German watchmaker’s second retail venture on the U.S. west coast and the first Lange Salon in the country.
Having established roots in San Francisco since 2002, A. Nestled within the historic Sachs Building, guests are treated to a curated collection of A. Lange & Söhne admire the finest details of our watches, and our Northern California collector community has long demonstrated a keen interest in the design choices and mechanical ingenuity applied by our watchmakers in the quest to achieve the highest level of craftsmanship,” says Schmid. “We are proud that our manufacture has produced 72 in-house movements since 1994, and we invite our customers and friends to consider the San Francisco Salon a sanctuary where it is possible, over time and at one’s leisure, to explore what makes our timepieces so special and different.”
Spanning 143 square meters (1,539 square feet), the Salon boasts three lounges, a central community space, and a hospitality bar area. Upon entry, visitors are greeted by the striking LANGE 1 OUTSIZE DATE installation, showcasing the brand’s innovative contributions to modern watchmaking. Large arched windows flood the space with natural light, accentuating the showcases displaying the latest A. Lange & Söhne masterpieces.
In addition to catering to individual collectors, the Salon aims to foster a sense of community within the broader watchmaking aficionado circle. A communal table serves as a focal point, providing an intimate setting for enthusiasts to share their passion for horology.
