A. Lange & Söhne opens Salon in London

Located on the first floor of the historic Bourdon House in London’s prestigious Mayfair, the new A. Lange & Söhne Salon offers watch enthusiasts an immersive experience into the world of fine watchmaking. This third retail presence of the German watch manufacturer in London opens its doors in June 2024, showcasing an exclusive selection of timepieces in an elegant, private VIP lounge.

The new Salon, situated at 2 Davies Street, enhances A. Lange & Söhne’s footprint in the UK. Nestled in the heart of Mayfair, a district renowned for upscale shopping, world-class galleries, and fine dining, the location is within walking distance of both Green Park and Hyde Park. Bourdon House, originally built in the 1720s and modernised by the Duke of Westminster, served as his official London residence until his death in 1953. Now, it houses dunhill, the premier British men’s luxury brand, and stands as a protected historic monument and one of London’s most distinguished private members’ clubs.

Designed with a modern lounge style, the spacious 26m² Salon embodies A. Lange & Söhne’s commitment to excellence, featuring exceptional service and a welcoming atmosphere. The interior design, characterized by meticulously selected materials and coordinated color schemes, invites guests to explore the Saxon manufacture’s rich heritage, expertise, and innovative spirit. A standout feature is the larger-than-life installation of the outsize date, a signature of the brand, inspired by the historic five-minute clock of Dresden’s Semper Opera House.

From June 2024, clients with a passion for precision watchmaking can enjoy expert advice and personal service in this luxurious yet casual setting. The Salon offers a comprehensive overview of A. Lange & Söhne’s collection, including timepieces from its six distinguished watch families. While reservations are encouraged, they are not required.

“To fully appreciate our timepieces, which are crafted by our watchmakers with the utmost attention to detail, it is essential to hold them in your hands and observe their intricacies up close,” says Wilhelm Schmid, CEO of Lange. “We are delighted to expand our presence in London and welcome members of our loyal community of Lange friends as well as new clients to our new Salon in Bourdon House. This unique setting steeped in history will allow us to provide them with the excellent customer experience they deserve.”
