Introducing Angelus’ Latest Timepiece: Instrument de Vitesse, Racing Against the Clock
In a nod to the adrenaline-fueled era of timed races, Angelus unveils its latest addition to the La Fabrique collection: Instrument de Vitesse. This mono-pusher chronograph channels the spirit of vintage GT cars with its sleek design and precision timekeeping capabilities. Sporting a single timing hand at its core, capable of measuring up to one minute, Instrument de Vitesse pays homage to the rich heritage of watchmaking.
The timepiece, encased in a 39-mm steel casing, boasts a remarkably slender profile, measuring less than 10 mm thick thanks to its 4.20 mm manually wound Manufacture calibre. With a choice between an ivory-white or ebony-black dial, each limited to 25 pieces, Instrument de Vitesse appeals to enthusiasts who appreciate the historical significance of timekeeping instruments.
Despite its seemingly simple appearance, Instrument de Vitesse is far from ordinary. While it may resemble a classic watch at first glance, the tachymeter scale encircling the dial reveals its true nature as a chronograph. Designed for short bursts of timing, it captures the essence of speed and precision with every second counted.
Angelus’ dedication to reviving classic timepieces is evident in the La Fabrique collection, with Instrument de Vitesse following the footsteps of its predecessor, the Chronographe Médical. Drawing inspiration from the brand’s rich aesthetic legacy, Angelus delivers a chronograph that exudes timeless elegance, reminiscent of vintage cars roaring down the open road.
Available in two distinct versions, Instrument de Vitesse offers a choice between a caramel calfskin or midnight-blue nubuck strap, each paired with a dial that embodies sophistication and style. The applied Arabic numerals and luminescent hands add depth and clarity to the design, ensuring readability in any lighting condition.
At its heart lies Angelus’ A5000 chronograph movement, renowned for its precision and reliability. Operating at a frequency of 3 Hz, this manually wound caliber incorporates a column wheel and horizontal clutch, staying true to the purest traditions of chronograph mechanics.
Instrument de Vitesse stands as a testament to Angelus’ commitment to craftsmanship and innovation, offering a timeless piece that transcends generations and embodies the thrill of the race against time.
