Arnold & Son Ultrathin Tourbillon Skeleton

Arnold & Son Unveils Exquisite Ultrathin Tourbillon Skeleton Timepieces in Red Gold and Platinum

Luxury watchmaker Arnold & Son has once again demonstrated its commitment to precision and elegance with the latest additions to its Ultrathin Tourbillon collection. The Ultrathin Tourbillon Skeleton, available in Red Gold (5N) and Platinum (PT 950), boasts a stunning design that marries slimness with intricate detailing.

The Ultrathin Tourbillon Skeleton timepieces are housed in a refined 41.5 mm case, emphasizing the graceful curves and wide apertures that define their aesthetic appeal. The slim profile, with a thickness of 8.4 mm, allows the flying tourbillon calibre to shine in its purest expression.

Released in two limited series of 28 watches each, the collection showcases Arnold & Son’s dedication to craftsmanship and exclusivity. The meticulously crafted A&S8320 calibre takes center stage, revealing its curves, apertures, and details within the captivating red gold or platinum casing.

Arnold & Son has achieved a remarkable feat with the Ultrathin Tourbillon Skeleton’s flying tourbillon, one of the slimmest skeleton tourbillon calibres in existence, measuring only 3.3 mm thick. The precision of this one-minute flying tourbillon is enhanced by a variable-inertia balance, ensuring superior calibration stability.

The skeletonization of the calibre not only adds a touch of originality but also serves as a canvas for showcasing pronounced curves and inflection points. The bridges are meticulously treated with rose-gold PVD (4N) and adorned with radiating Côtes de Genève stripes, adding a luxurious touch to the Ultrathin Tourbillon Skeleton Red Gold and Platinum.

The flange around the calibre, also treated with the same finish, elegantly displays the Arnold & Son signature at 6 o’clock, allowing the off-centred white opal dial to take center stage in its purest form.

The heart of the Ultrathin Tourbillon Skeleton is the A&S8320 calibre, designed without an upper bridge to minimize thickness and classified as a flying tourbillon. The variable-inertia balance with inertia blocks ensures precise calibration over time.

The slender triangular carriage, supported by a double arrow counterpoise, features an arrowhead on the escape wheel staff, serving as a seconds pointer as the carriage completes one rotation per minute.

Not only a marvel of design, the A&S8320 calibre boasts a power reserve of 100 hours, surpassing the standards for standard tourbillons. This performance is in line with the consistently high standards achieved by Arnold & Son calibres.

In summary, the Ultrathin Tourbillon Skeleton collection showcases Arnold & Son’s expertise in combining slimness, precision, and intricate detailing, making these timepieces a true testament to the artistry of watchmaking.
