Bianchet Grande Date and Sport GMT Tourbillon in Hybrid Gold

Bianchet Unveils Hybrid Gold Edition of Grande Date and Sport GMT Tourbillon Watches

Swiss watchmaker Bianchet has introduced the Hybrid Gold edition of its renowned Flying Tourbillon Grande Date and Flying Tourbillon Sport GMT timepieces. These new models blend 18-carat gold with high-density carbon and titanium powder, enhancing both the aesthetic and physical appeal of these meticulously crafted watches.

A New Standard in Materials and Craftsmanship

The Hybrid Gold edition integrates premium and high-tech materials, combining the luxury of gold with the durability and lightness of carbon fiber. The case features a gold bezel, crown, and case back, all finished with a meticulous brushed and polished look. The rest of the case is constructed from Bianchet’s proprietary carbon composite, known as Titanium-Dust-High-Density-Carbon, which consists of around 500 compressed layers of carbon fibers infused with titanium powder.

Flying Tourbillon Grande Date: A Masterpiece of Design

The Flying Tourbillon Grande Date, recognized with the International Temporis Award for Best Startup Watch, features a tonneau-shaped case that adheres to the golden ratio (1.618). Inside, the in-house skeletonized Flying Tourbillon movement showcases intricate craftsmanship. The big date complication highlights the calendar’s openwork mechanism, hand-decorated to perfection. The titanium bridges, following the Fibonacci spiral’s curved construction, feature hand-beveled edges. The movement operates at 21,600 vibrations per hour and offers a 90-hour power reserve. Launched at the Geneva Watch Days in August 2023, this timepiece exudes harmony and balance with its symmetrical complications.

Flying Tourbillon Sport GMT: A Blend of Innovation and Tradition

Released in March 2024, the Flying Tourbillon Sport GMT highlights Bianchet’s versatility. It features a dual time GMT function, displaying two time zones simultaneously. The 24-hour GMT dial includes a rotating Earth dome, symbolizing its appeal to globetrotters. With an intuitive crown-function indicator, setting the local or reference time is straightforward. Like its counterpart, the Sport GMT offers a 90-hour power reserve. Despite its modern, sporty look, it remains rooted in traditional Swiss watchmaking, with hand-finished movement and case parts, hand-applied decorations, and luminescent hour indicators.

Designed for Durability and Elegance

Both Hybrid Gold models come with two vulcanized natural rubber straps in black and white. These timepieces are suitable for water activities, with a water resistance of 10 ATM and shock resistance of 5000Gs.

Availability

The Hybrid Gold edition will be available in August 2024 at retailers worldwide and can be viewed at the Bianchet Showroom in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. For more information, visit bianchet.com.
