Breitling Pop-Up Hankyu Umeda Main Store

Breitling Celebrates 140 Years with Sustainability-Focused Pop-Up Store

This year marks Breitling’s 140th anniversary, a milestone that highlights its pioneering role in the invention of the modern chronograph and its leadership in the aviation sector. Known for its casual, inclusive, and sustainable brand ethos, Breitling remains committed to its “MISSION TO DO BETTER,” continually striving to enhance the social and environmental impact of its operations.

To showcase this commitment, Breitling will launch the “BREITLING POP-UP TO DO BETTER” on July 10th at the “GREEN AGE” section on the 8th floor of the Hankyu Umeda Main Store. This pop-up will be open for approximately three months, offering a deep dive into Breitling’s sustainability initiatives.

BREITLING POP-UP TO DO BETTER

Opening on July 10, 2024, the “BREITLING POP-UP TO DO BETTER” at Hankyu Umeda Main Store’s “GREEN AGE” aims to embody the concept of coexistence between people and nature. Breitling’s pop-up will feature a range of interactive exhibits that highlight its dedication to sustainable luxury.

Breitling’s efforts include the use of watch boxes made from 100% upcycled plastic bottles, the production of watches using traceable gold and responsibly sourced lab-grown diamonds, and extending stringent sustainability standards to its suppliers. Additionally, Breitling has set clear, time-bound plans with its partners to achieve significant emissions reductions in line with the Paris Agreement goals by 2032.

Sustainability for Breitling is a continuous journey rather than a finite project. This ongoing commitment will be a focal point of the pop-up store, which aims to educate and engage visitors through various interactive displays.

Interactive Workshops and Activities

As part of the event, Breitling will host a workshop designed for parents and children. Participants will have the opportunity to create their own original key chains using recycled watch parts discarded during the overhaul process. This hands-on activity not only promotes creativity but also reinforces the importance of recycling and sustainable practices.

Breitling invites everyone to visit the pop-up store to learn more about its sustainability mission and to participate in the engaging activities on offer. Join Breitling at “GREEN AGE” to celebrate its rich history and its forward-thinking approach to sustainability.
