Wherever the journey takes you: meet the new Breitling Navitimer 36 and 32

Presenting an awe-inspiring collection of Breitling’s renowned watches, now available in two elegant, slimmer sizes. These timepieces showcase exquisite mother-of-pearl dials, sustainable 18k red gold, and ethically sourced lab-grown diamonds. The debut of the new Navitimer 36 and 32 is celebrated in an intimate campaign titled “NAVITIMER – FOR THE JOURNEY,” featuring the acclaimed Charlize Theron.

The Navitimer stands as an icon among timepieces, universally recognized and cherished. Since its inception in 1952 as a crucial tool for pilots, it has evolved to hold profound significance for all those who have embarked on their personal journeys with this remarkable watch.

Breitling now introduces two new additions to the Navitimer collection, available in 36- and 32-mm sizes, catering to individuals who appreciate the elegance of a smaller diameter timepiece. These new creations are not just about their compact dimensions; they are a delightful fusion of pastel shades, radiant mother-of-pearl, and ethically sourced precious materials. These elements harmonize with the Navitimer’s signature beaded bezel, transforming these timepieces into jewels of versatile elegance, ready to accompany you on any path your journey leads.

Academy Award-winning actor Charlize Theron takes the spotlight in the campaign for the Navitimer 36 and 32. She shares her personal odyssey, which saw her journey from remote South Africa to the international A-list. Theron’s participation in the NAVITIMER – FOR THE JOURNEY campaign is part of a heartfelt series, where Breitling’s brand ambassadors narrate their own stories in their own words.

“You can spot someone from across a room and know they are wearing a Navitimer. It’s just that recognizable,” says Breitling CEO Georges Kern. “Charlize Theron so wonderfully represents this line because she too is an icon known the world over for her strength, beauty, talent, and powerful journey.”

All the Look in a Jewelry-like Format: The Navitimer Automatic 36

This stunning reinterpretation of the classic aviation watch simplifies the dial design to complement its slender size, omitting the slide rule. However, its small stature conceals a remarkable feature—the introduction of mother-of-pearl dials in delicate shades of powdery pink and light-blue, a first for Breitling, in addition to the classic white option. Just like its larger counterpart, the 36-mm model, the 32-mm version boasts enhanced diamonds throughout the range and upgraded gold, both on the full-gold edition and the duo-tone bezel variant. All these models proudly bear the Origins label.

Driving this exceptional timepiece is the Breitling Caliber 77, a highly precise SuperQuartz™ movement that, like all of Breitling’s quartz calibers, holds the prestigious COSC certification. It also boasts an impressive water resistance of 50 meters (5 bars), a noteworthy feature for a watch of this size.

Charlize Theron’s Journey

After seven decades, the Navitimer has evolved beyond being merely a navigational tool for pilots; it has transformed into a symbol that resonates with individuals navigating their unique life journeys.

Breitling commemorates this profound significance through the NAVITIMER – FOR THE JOURNEY campaign, featuring the illustrious Navitimer Squad. This squad comprises basketball superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, principal dancer Misty Copeland, aviation pioneer Bertrand Piccard, and now, Academy Award-winning actor Charlize Theron, who serves as the face of the new Navitimer 36 and 32.

Each member of the Navitimer Squad has embarked on extraordinary journeys to attain the pinnacle of their respective fields. The campaign employs compelling visuals and the Squad Members’ personal narratives to delve deep into these remarkable odysseys.

“My journey has always been about being up for any challenge,” says Theron. “I travelled from South Africa to Los Angeles when I was quite young and both that physical journey and the journey of being open-minded and ready for new experiences has served me well personally and professionally.”
