Originally introduced in 1974, the Casiotron revolutionized the industry with its innovative digital wristwatch, inspired by the idea that “watches simply add up seconds.” Leveraging digital technologies developed in Casio’s calculator business, the Casiotron not only displayed accurate time but also the month, date, and day of the week, automatically adjusting for varying month lengths. Staying true to the Casiotron concept, the TRN-50 integrates advancements from the past five decades of Casio’s watch development. Meticulously recreating the original exterior, the TRN-50 meets contemporary quality standards with details like the sophisticated textures of the case and band, the dark blue face, and the CASIOTRON logo. The watch enhances practicality with a highly readable super-twisted nematic (STN) LCD and Tough Solar charging system. Alongside time calibration signals from six global stations, the Mobile Link functionality ensures precision timekeeping by connecting to smartphones via Bluetooth®.
