Casio Vintage UNO – A168WEUC-1A

Casio and UNO™ Unite in Nostalgic Timepiece Collaboration

In a surprising fusion of timekeeping and tabletop gaming, Casio has announced a new watch model featuring design elements from the beloved card game UNO™. This collaboration brings together two iconic brands that have been household names since the 1970s.

The new watch is based on Casio’s popular A168 model, known for its vintage aesthetic. It incorporates the retro pop colors and design elements of classic UNO™ cards, creating a timepiece that appeals to both watch enthusiasts and fans of the card game.

The watch face prominently displays the iconic color scheme of UNO™’s Wild card. When the backlight is activated, the word “Wild” appears on the LCD screen, adding a playful touch. The original UNO™ logo is also featured on the lower right of the watch face, further emphasizing the collaboration.

Additional UNO™-inspired details can be found throughout the watch. The black band’s clasp is engraved with an illustration of the back of an UNO™ card, while the case back features a laser-engraved UNO™ logo and several game cards. In a clever nod to the watch’s model number, the 1, 6, and 8 cards are arranged in that specific order on the case back.

The watch comes packaged in a special eco-friendly box made from recycled materials, decorated with the four classic colors from the UNO™ game box.

This collaborative timepiece, priced at $99.95, is now available for purchase. It offers a unique blend of functionality and nostalgia, likely to appeal to consumers across generations who have fond memories of playing UNO™ or appreciate retro-styled accessories.

The partnership between Casio and Mattel, UNO™’s parent company, highlights a growing trend of cross-industry collaborations aimed at capturing consumer interest through nostalgia and brand recognition. As the watch industry continues to evolve, such unique partnerships may become increasingly common, offering consumers products that are both functional and emotionally resonant.
