Within this fresh collection, a circular cutout window graces the watch’s dial, beckoning the play of light to enhance the intrinsic beauty of the Powermatic 80 movement nestled at its core.
The Powermatic 80 automatic movement is an exemplar of Swiss watchmaking excellence. Each inaugural DS-1 Skeleton model offers an up-close view of a matte grey framework that securely cradles gears, jewels, and the balance spring, all readily visible through the gracefully arched sapphire crystal that guards the dial. Oversized hour markers adorn the expansive border encircling the circular skeleton window, ensuring precise readability with high-contrast accents. Furthermore, the captivating inner workings of the Powermatic 80 can be admired through the transparent crystal on the watch’s rear. Boasting an impressive 80-hour power reserve and featuring a Nivachron™ balance spring with anti-magnetic properties, this movement guarantees unparalleled accuracy and longevity for this alluring mechanism.
In keeping with a focus on luminosity and elegant simplicity, Certina unveils the DS-1 Skeleton as a classic three-handed timepiece fashioned in stainless steel, available in three distinct dial and bracelet combinations. The blue-dial version pairs with a polished and satin-brushed five-link stainless steel bracelet. For those with an affinity for fashion, a second option offers a captivating steely grey palette complemented by a Milanese mesh bracelet. Completing the premier DS-1 Skeleton collection is a third iteration featuring a timeless dark brown leather strap, perfectly harmonizing with the dial’s warm tones.
