Cuervo y Sobrinos, the official timekeeper of Iberian Historic Endurance, proudly presents the limited-edition Historiador Historic Endurance chronograph. This aptly-named model features a bicompax dial, resplendent in British Racing Green with striking silver-toned counters, reminiscent of the iconic colors associated with motorsport. Encased in a 40mm stainless steel case, this watch is designed to grace wrists of all sizes, particularly those adorned in racing attire.

Cuervo y Sobrinos holds the prestigious title of being the official timekeeper of Iberian Historic Endurance, a series of races set on some of Europe’s legendary race tracks. At the heart of Iberian Historic Endurance lies the concept of “gentlemen drivers” who share a passion for competition while fostering camaraderie. It’s an environment where adrenaline-fueled excitement blends seamlessly with post-race laughter, forging enduring friendships. Competitors pilot vintage cars, often engaged in wheel-to-wheel battles, all vying for that coveted spot on the podium.

The brand, with its Latin soul, extends an exclusive personalized watch to the winner of the Index Performance in each competition. This index celebrates not just the first across the finish line but also the finest “performance” considering factors like age, cylinder capacity, and car type (Touring, GT, or Sport).

In celebration of its affiliation with Iberian Historic Endurance, Cuervo y Sobrinos, the Cuban-Swiss maestro of crafting chronographs, has crafted the limited-edition bicompax Historiador Historic Endurance model. The twin counter layout adds to the watch’s symmetrical, harmonious, and vintage-inspired aesthetic.

The dial adorns the iconic British Racing Green, beautifully contrasted by silver-toned counters. Both these hues have a rich heritage, tracing their origins back to the Gordon Bennett Cup in 1900, where the driver’s nationality determined the car’s color. While the hour and minute hands, along with the small seconds hand at 3 o’clock, are elegantly leaf-shaped and silver-toned, the hand on the 30-minute counter is black and features a prominent triangular tip. The tachymeter scale, set against a black background, enhances legibility. The word “Taquimetro,” signifying tachymeter in both Portuguese and Spanish, pays homage to the race’s historic roots.

With a contemporary 40mm diameter, the stainless steel case is in perfect harmony with modern tastes. The case back reveals the CYS 8129 automatic caliber through a sapphire crystal adorned with the “Historic Endurance” competition logo and the number “76,” signifying the limited number of watches produced.

This watch is presented on a black driving-style perforated calf strap with green stitching, evoking the nostalgia of traditional racing gloves worn in days gone by.

Iberian Historic Endurance encompasses classic cars categorized by age, with the H-1976 category representing the youngest cars from January 1, 1972, to December 31, 1976. The Historiador Historic Endurance, limited to just 76 pieces, pays tribute to these youngest entrants in the historic series.
