This release pays homage to the esteemed Middle Eastern partner, Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons.
Introducing a remarkable element for the SUB series, DOXA presents, for the first time, a stunning deep-sea blue dial crafted from natural mother-of-pearl. Each dial is a unique masterpiece, akin to a fingerprint, ensuring that no two wrists will bear the same exquisite design. Mother-of-pearl, a sacred substance, imparts a delicate and refined appearance, enhanced by its natural iridescence, and is known for its mysterious and surprising variations in color and structure depending on its origin within the shell.
DOXA has continuously strived for the improvement and development of its dive watches, particularly the iconic SUB 300T, a timepiece that has left an indelible mark on Swiss watchmaking history. The SUB 300β Seddiqi Edition 2023 honors the aesthetic codes of the legendary SUB 300T design while adding a soft, contemporary touch of elegance. The watch is slightly reworked to achieve a slimmer profile, measuring just 11.95 mm in thickness (compared to 13.65 mm for the SUB 300T) and a lower bezel height (by 0.5 mm). Carved from a solid block of 316L stainless steel, it boasts a diameter of 42.5 mm and a water resistance rating of 30 ATM (equivalent to 300 meters or just over 980 feet).
Featuring the renowned DOXA-patented unidirectional rotating bezel with a blue ceramic insert matching the dial, the SUB 300β Seddiqi Edition 2023 includes dual scales for dive duration (in minutes) and depth (in meters) to calculate no-decompression dives. Super-LumiNova® coating ensures optimal legibility of all diving-related indications underwater and in low-light conditions. The mother-of-pearl dial’s sea blue radiance is enhanced by the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating.
Powered by a reliable Swiss automatic movement, the SUB 300β Seddiqi Edition 2023 provides a comfortable power reserve of approximately 38 hours. It is available with the historic ‘Beads of Rice’ bracelet in stainless steel or a white FKM rubber strap for a modern look, both equipped with a folding clasp featuring an adjustable wetsuit extension.
