F.P. Journe supports Gstaad-Art

F.P. Journe expressed its delight in backing the inaugural Gstaad-Art, a novel Swiss Salon dedicated to modern and contemporary art and design. Held from February 17 to 18 beneath the captivating Festival-Zelt canopy, the event featured 20 prominent international galleries, including stalwarts Hauser & Wirth and Gagosian, who have a permanent presence in Gstaad.

The occasion also marked the debut of the “CIRCUS” series, a curated exhibition by Piper Marshall and Kolja Gläser, with Cammisa Buerhaus and X Zhu-Nowell, Artistic Director of the Shanghai Rockbund Museum. Titled “Artists’ Scores, Scenarios, and Instructions,” the showcase brought together nearly 60 artists, providing a unique glimpse into their creative processes. Renowned names like Josh Kline, Goshka Macuga, Lawrence Weiner, and Chloe Wise showcased their works, accompanied by prestigious galleries such as Pace, Mendes Wood, and Bortolami, in a staging crafted by the Parisian architecture firm Roll.

Furthermore, Gstaad-Art presented special projects like the installation “La souris et le chat” by Chinese artist Wang Du and “Green Bird from Dreamtime” by Aboriginal artist Tatali Napurrula, supported by the Fondation Opale.

For F.P. Journe, this collaboration signifies a longstanding connection with the art world, reflecting the Manufacture’s core values: Authenticity, Rarity, Talent – A.R.T. This partnership underscores a mutual passion for excellence, innovation, and the preservation of a diverse cultural heritage. The inaugural Gstaad-Art edition marks the commencement of a prestigious cultural event on the top tier.
