Swiss luxury mechanical watchmaker Franck Muller proudly presents the collaborative creation, “#FR2NCK MULLER VANGUARD,” in partnership with Tokyo’s renowned streetwear brand #FR2.
The distinctive ethos of both brands converged, giving life to their inaugural collaboration. The “#FR2NCK MULLER VANGUARD” seamlessly integrates #FR2’s unique design into Franck Muller’s iconic Vanguard watch. Within the tonneau-shaped case and three-dimensional index, a rabbit motif born from #FR2’s unrestricted creativity is placed, epitomizing the ultimate beauty derived from the interplay of straight lines and curves—a hallmark of street fashion. The result is a cutting-edge timepiece that embodies the essence of both brands.
The creation of “#FR2NCK MULLER VANGUARD” involved the fusion of elements from two distinct realms: Swiss mechanical watches and Japanese street fashion, enhanced by the distinctive touch of the creator. Franck Muller’s timeless yet avant-garde aesthetic finds expression in the matte white dial, featuring black skeletonized hands, hour markers, and three-dimensional applied indexes. The whimsical motif at 7 o’clock adds a playful touch to the monochromatic ensemble.
Franck Muller boldly introduces his Fxxking Rabbits motif from #FR2, replacing traditional indexes and infusing vibrancy with the rabbit’s red eyes as the sole colored spot on the dial. For enhanced visibility in low light, the hands, hour markers, and graphic motifs are partially coated with Super-LumiNova, creating a striking effect in the dark.
Crafted from a combination of carbon and glass fiber, the case exemplifies innovation. Carbon powder and glass fiber, combined and impregnated with a binding resin, undergo a meticulous baking process at 150 degrees Celsius, subjected to 200 tons of pressure. The result is a lightweight yet robust material, with each watch case displaying a unique striped pattern due to the random mixing and pressing of materials.
In harmony with the distinctive case and dial design, the watch features a white fabric strap with black text, presented in a typographic style familiar to enthusiasts of street fashion.
