It drew inspiration from the aristocracy’s adoption of stainless steel watches in their everyday lives, an avant-garde luxury material of the 1920s to the 1940s.
In Franck Muller’s Disney collection, you’ll find Mickey Mouse donning the attire of an explorer positioned at 6 o’clock. The hour hand leaps to the corresponding hour number each time it marks the passing of an hour. While clocks were initially designed to move predictably and display the time by simply observing the hand positions, Franck Muller felt this approach constrained people, making them feel governed by time. This prompted him to create Crazy Hours with the aspiration of liberating individuals from fixed perceptions of time, enabling them to enjoy a more flexible and unrestrained existence.

She wanted a watch design that would be distinctively his, departing from the traditional round watch. This challenge led to the birth of the Tonneau model, a creation where Franck Muller pushed the boundaries of his own creativity. The result was the Carvex. With its barrel-shaped case, it deviates from the standard flat design, opting instead to embrace a composition formed entirely of graceful curves, exuding an air of elegance and refinement.
