Franck Muller introduces its latest masterpiece, the Giga Tourbillon Vienne, showcasing three distinctive timepieces inspired by the iconic landmarks of Vienna—Schloss Schönbrunn, St. Stephen’s Cathedral, and the Wiener Staatsoper, the renowned opera house.
This exclusive collection pays homage to elegance, seamlessly blending history, art, and exquisite watchmaking to craft three exceptional timepieces that embody Vienna’s graceful lines, intricate floral patterns, and refined shapes.
The emblematic Giga Tourbillon, housed in a distinctive Curvex CX case, undergoes a complete redesign, featuring a brand-new movement. The hands, bridges, and tourbillon upper bridge are meticulously reworked, drawing inspiration from Vienna’s captivating architecture. Comprising 299 components, the Giga Tourbillon Vienne stands as a horological masterpiece, showcasing Franck Muller’s exceptional craftsmanship. Each timepiece is a celebration of elegance, art, and fine watchmaking.
To showcase the mechanical intricacies, the skeletonized movement is positioned above a captivating dial, allowing a clear view of the barrels and tourbillon cage. Unlike traditional tourbillons, the Giga Tourbillon Vienne boasts four barrels, ensuring an impressive 4-day power reserve elegantly displayed through a dedicated counter at the 12 o’clock position.
Innovatively, the Giga Tourbillon Vienne introduces two additional dials. The second dial, beneath the balance wheel, captures the essence of the timepiece, while the third dial on the back features an aperture revealing the central wheel and third wheel, incorporating an exquisite artistic illustration of the movement.
Crafted in rose gold, yellow gold, and white gold, the Giga Tourbillon Vienne embodies Franck Muller’s dedication to craftsmanship and exceptional horological technique. Each variant draws inspiration from Vienna’s architectural interiors, external elements, and paintings, featuring colors such as warm champagne, pure white, and elegant blue.
These three unique timepieces were unveiled at an exclusive dinner at the Schloss Schönbrunn in Vienna, with Franck Muller Watchland making a special journey to celebrate the launch of this distinctive collection.
