Introducing the Disco Volante Collection
Furlan Marri’s new collection brings a fresh, modern twist to classic design, featuring three distinct references powered by the meticulously re-designed and hand-finished Peseux 7001 movement from Geneva, Switzerland. The collection’s name, Disco Volante—Italian for flying saucer—pays homage to the rounded shapes and curved bezel designs that originated in the late 1930s. These designs are characterized by their sleek round cases and large, yet invisible lugs concealed beneath the case.
Reference Highlights
- Havana Disco: This model showcases a stunning salmon hue complemented by brown tones, highlighted with Old Rhadium Super-LumiNova.
- Disco Celeste: Draped in shades of blue and white, this timepiece comes alive at night with the vibrant BGW9 Super-LumiNova.
- Disco Verde: Featuring a green and cream dial, this reference is accented with Old Radium Super-LumiNova.
Elegance and Precision
The ultra-thin Peseux 7001 caliber, only 2.5 mm thick, allows the case to maintain a slender profile of 8.10 mm (8.95 mm including the sapphire glass). The crown, integrated into the case, features a new design for the Disco Volante series. With extreme attention to detail, the teeth are slightly curved, and the crown is polished for a seamless finish.
Recognizable Signature
Both circles surrounding the hour, minute, and small second indications are enhanced by different shades of Super-LumiNova depending on the reference, creating a distinctive luminous signature. The hands also feature Super-LumiNova inserts, ensuring visibility and style.
Pre-Order and Availability
The first batch will be available for pre-order, with deliveries expected to begin by the end of September 2024. These models will become a permanent part of Furlan Marri’s Mechanical line and will be reproduced based on demand and movement availability.
