Hamilton Khaki Aviation Pilot

Hamilton proudly continues its century-long tradition of elevating aviation watches to new heights, catering to professional pilots, aeronautics enthusiasts, and adventurers alike with the introduction of seven new references.

With a legacy dating back to 1918, when Hamilton watches were chosen to time the inaugural U.S. Airmail flight from New York to Washington, D.C., our timepieces have consistently led the way in cutting-edge aviation. The Khaki Aviation Pilot collection, featuring seven new references, seamlessly blends our rich history of timing the skies with an unwavering passion for adventure.]

Crafted specifically for aviation enthusiasts, these watches make the perfect companions to well-worn leather flight jackets and classic aviator sunglasses, embodying the spirit of exploration and adventure that defines the Khaki collection. The 36mm reference, rugged yet technical, is powered by the H-10 automatic movement with an 80-hour power reserve and Nivachron™ balance spring. Meanwhile, the 42mm model boasts an H-30 automatic movement. To ensure quick and constant legibility in varying light conditions, the hour and minute hands are treated with a radiant Grade X1 Swiss Super-LumiNova® coating, renowned for its sustained luminosity. The dial numbers are enlarged for easy, quick-glance readability.

Designed for everyday adventures, each reference in the Khaki Aviation Pilot collection is water-resistant up to 10 bar (100 meters). The collection includes four 36mm references and three 42mm references, representing a departure from conventional aviation timepieces by offering designs suitable for daily wear. While meeting the precision standards required in the cockpit, these more compact designs seamlessly transition between life in the skies and on solid ground.

The 36mm references feature a timeless stainless-steel bracelet paired with a black or midnight blue dial, reminiscent of the clear sky view from the flight deck. A white leather strap coupled with a silver white dial evokes the imagery of endless clouds, while a rose leather strap alongside a midnight blue dial housed in a rose gold PVD case represents the pilot’s view of the contrast between first light and darkness.

For the well-proportioned 42mm references, each includes a day-date window, nickeled hour and second hands, and diverse strap and dial combinations. A stainless-steel bracelet paired with a rich blue dial symbolizes the possibilities of clear, open skies. The classic aviation-inspired pairing of light leather with a silver dial harks back to the early days of precision flying, while the combination of dark leather and a green dial pays homage to the Khaki’s adventurous outdoor roots.
