Hamilton Ventura DUNE: PART TWO

In a groundbreaking collaboration with Legendary Entertainment and Warner Bros. Pictures, Hamilton Watch has unveiled a custom “Desert Watch” designed exclusively for the highly anticipated film “Dune: Part Two,” directed by Denis Villeneuve. Renowned for its historic presence in Hollywood, with watches featured in over 500 major films since 1932, Hamilton is taking its collaborative ventures to new heights with the artisans behind the “Dune” franchise.

In a departure from previous collaborations, where Hamilton selected existing watches, explored archives, or created entirely new designs, the world of “Dune: Part Two” called for a unique approach. Responding to Villeneuve’s request, Hamilton collaborated closely with the film’s prop master, Doug Harlocker, to craft a wrist device that transcends traditional watch norms, reflecting the enigmatic universe of “Dune.” Working without knowledge of the device’s function but guided by Frank Herbert’s “Dune” lore and Villeneuve’s cinematic vision, Hamilton’s designers produced a robust, distinctly Fremen device that captured Harlocker’s artistry and earned the director’s approval for the final design.

While the exclusive “Desert Watch” is reserved for Arrakis, its creative influence has inspired Hamilton to launch two limited-edition watches in February 2024, coinciding with the release of “Dune: Part Two.” Both Venturas feature a luminous blue dial reminiscent of the Fremen’s iconic blue eyes. The Ventura Bright includes a button replicating the glowing blue lines of the “Desert Watch” dial design, while the brand-new Ventura Edge boasts a matte black PVD-coated angular case with a blue digital display, mirroring the relief elements seen on the prop in the film.

These limited-edition timepieces come with commemorative packaging inspired by the film, providing a special experience for fans of the “Dune” movies and books, as well as collectors eager to immerse themselves in the cinematic universe.
