Red X Blue and Red X Grey: A Pair of Flyback Twin Sets

Highlighting its expertise in the stopwatch sector, traditional manufacturer Hanhart from the Black Forest introduces two exclusive twin sets, each limited to 140 pieces. These sets, designed for rally enthusiasts, showcase Hanhart’s commitment to precision and craftsmanship. Beyond being wristwatches, these high-quality flyback stopwatches double as distinctive desk accessories, complete with a dashboard and table stand, commanding attention in any setting.

Hanhart and the legacy of stopwatches

The aviation heritage of Hanhart dates back to the 1930s with the creation of the first mechanical pilot’s watch, the Calibre 40 Mono-pusher Chronograph. Designed to endure extreme conditions faced by aviators, including shocks, temperature fluctuations, altitude changes, and varying weather conditions, these challenges continue to resonate with air forces today.

Twin sets in blue and anthracite

The newly released limited edition twin sets comprise a wrist chronograph, an additional stopper, a dashboard plate, and a table stand. The sets are offered with dials in royal blue or anthracite, both featuring a sunburst finish that reveals different facets depending on light and brightness.

Two column wheel flyback chronographs

Continuing its chronograph tradition, Hanhart unveils chronographs and additional stoppers with a flyback function. Historically significant on race tracks, the flyback function enables the immediate measurement of a new time interval by pressing the reset button, ensuring precise lap time measurements without interruptions.

High-end movements

The addition stopper utilizes Hanhart’s in-house caliber 122, while the wrist chronograph boasts the premium AMT5100 M caliber from Sellita’s “Manufacture AMT” department. Both watches are controlled by a column wheel, offering a power reserve of at least 10 hours for the stopwatch and a minimum of 58 hours for the wristwatch when fully wound. Hand-wound and built for robustness and reliability, these calibers are a delight for every chronograph enthusiast.

Red X Blue and Red X Grey

The Red X Blue version features a blue dial with a sunray finish, accompanied by a stopwatch, dashboard plate, and table stand with a black cover. Meanwhile, the Red X Grey version offers a blue dial with a sunray finish, along with a stopwatch, dashboard plate, and table stand featuring a brown cover.

The trademark – the legend of the red button

A tale of love and safety surrounds Hanhart’s trademark, the red button. As the legend goes, a pilot’s sweetheart painted the button with red nail varnish, symbolizing a wish for his safe return. Since its introduction in 1938, the red button has remained a distinctive mark, not only as a design element but also as a practical measure to prevent unintentional zeroing of stop time, especially for pilots.
