Ace Jewelers, Ikepod, and Street Artist Laser 3.14 Collaborate on the Limited-Edition Megapod This Is Our Time

Ace Jewelers has teamed up with Ikepod and Amsterdam-based street artist Laser 3.14 to unveil the limited-edition Megapod This Is Our Time watch. Merging street art with Ikepod’s futuristic design aesthetic, this collaboration offers a unique, wearable piece of art. Limited to just 30 numbered pieces, the watch is expected to resonate with collectors, art enthusiasts, and those with an appreciation for modern craftsmanship.

Street Art Meets Horology

The defining feature of the Megapod This Is Our Time is Laser 3.14’s signature phrase, “This Is Our Time,” printed on the dial in his iconic graffiti style. His tag, sprayed inside the crystal at the 12 o’clock position, overlaps the Ikepod logo, blending street art with the minimalist aesthetic of the watch. Packaged in a custom sleeve designed by Laser 3.14 and ABC, the entire presentation feels like a canvas brought to life.

Alon Ben Joseph, co-owner of Ace Jewelers, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration: “I’ve followed Laser 3.14 for years. His thought-provoking street art speaks to me on a personal level. When I finally reached out to him, we clicked immediately and together with ABC we developed the idea of This Is Our Time. When we brought the idea to Ikepod, Christian-Louis Col was instantly supportive of the collaboration.”

Laser 3.14 also shared his perspective on the project: “I’ve always been intrigued by how my poetry could take on new forms, and this collaboration gave me the chance to explore that. Seeing my words printed inside the crystal of a watch was an exciting new way to bring my art to life.”

ABC, the designer behind the project, added: “This Is Our Time is a message that unites; it means we are part of a collective. A rallying cry that not only motivates but also underlines the necessity to make moves and own the here and now.”Ikepod’s Signature Megapod Design

Ikepod’s Signature Megapod Design

The watch is based on Ikepod’s 46mm stainless steel Megapod design, which first debuted in 1997. Known for its pebble-like shape and minimalist futuristic aesthetic, the Megapod case houses a Miyota 9039 automatic movement beneath an anti-reflective sapphire crystal. The black silicone strap adds comfort, while the watch’s 5ATM water resistance ensures its durability for everyday wear.

Christian-Louis Col, owner of Ikepod, spoke about the creative synergy in this project: “Ikepod has a long history of working with artists, and this project is a perfect fit for us. Alon’s passion for art-driven collaborations and the unique artistic vision of Laser 3.14 and ABC made this an exciting partnership.”
