Jaeger-LeCoultre reinterprets Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Calendar

Jaeger-LeCoultre Unveils Refreshed Master Ultra Thin Collection

Jaeger-LeCoultre, renowned for its mastery of thin calibres and timeless beauty, introduces the latest iteration of its Master Ultra Thin collection in 2024. The collection, conceived as the epitome of a dress watch for the modern aesthete, has been refreshed with a new interpretation of the Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Calendar, offering enhanced features and design elements.

Precise and Perpetual – The Anomaly of Time

The Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Calendar tackles the complexity of our calendar system, adjusting automatically for months of different lengths and leap years. Powered by the in-house Calibre 868, this miniature mechanical computer requires no manual correction until 2100, thanks to its perpetual calendar functionality. The latest-generation Calibre 868 boasts technical innovations, including a new escapement and pallets, offering a robust power reserve of 70 hours. This extended power reserve ensures uninterrupted operation, even after setting the watch aside for an entire weekend.

A Sophisticated Update for the Perpetual Dress Watch

While retaining the elegant 39mm diameter and 9.2 mm thickness, the Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Calendar receives subtle design enhancements. The case features revised proportions and slimmer, elongated lugs for enhanced comfort. The dial design has also been refined, with improved legibility and intricate details. Each facet of the Dauphine hands receives different finishes, adding to the watch’s sophistication. A small security zone indicator warns against adjusting the time or calendar indications at sensitive times.

The collection offers four variations, including a model with a new gradient midnight blue dial, contrasting dramatically with its pink gold case. The azure finish of the sub-dials creates a captivating play of light against the sunray-brushed main dial. Additionally, two pink gold models feature classical eggshell dials, one with diamonds set around the bezel. A fourth variation is offered in steel with a sunray-brushed silver dial. Each timepiece is presented on an alligator strap, allowing for easy interchangeability.

Tradition and Modernity United

True to Jaeger-LeCoultre’s philosophy of marrying tradition with modernity, the latest Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Calendar presents one of horology’s great complications in a fresh and timelessly modern style. The subtle refinements and technical innovations underscore the Maison’s commitment to precision in both aesthetics and mechanics.

The Master Ultra Thin collection continues to exemplify Jaeger-LeCoultre’s dedication to crafting exquisite timepieces for the discerning connoisseur, blending heritage with innovation in perfect harmony.
