Lang & Heyne Celebrates Sincere Fine Watches’ 70th Anniversary with Limited Edition Friedrich III Remontoir
To celebrate the 70th anniversary of Sincere Fine Watches, Lang & Heyne has introduced the Friedrich III Remontoir Sincere Platinum Jubilee Edition. Limited to just seven pieces, this watch highlights a long-standing partnership that began with the SHH Editions at Sincere’s concept boutique, Sincere Haute Horlogerie (SHH), in Singapore in 2022.
Lang & Heyne, located in Dresden, Germany, is known for its finely crafted timepieces made from high-quality materials. The company is recognized for its attention to detail, from constructing movement components, hands, and cases to their refined finishing.
Unique Dial Design and Aesthetic Features
This edition features a distinctive dial design. Unlike the traditional solid silver dials, the Friedrich III Remontoir Sincere Platinum Jubilee Edition has a ceramic dial with a sand-blasted royal blue silver decorative plate at the center. The combination of colors and textures, with a frosted blue center against a smooth white ceramic periphery and seconds subdial, adds depth and character to the watch.
The watch employs a three-part dial concept, where the seconds subdial is set lower than the main ceramic dial and the royal blue silver decorative plate. The design, with chamfered and polished edges, enhances the dial’s three-dimensional appearance.
Craftsmanship and Movement
The Friedrich III Remontoir features a trigonal bridge that reveals an intricately designed gear train beneath. The Caliber VI-I movement is noted for its fine finishing and hand engraving by skilled artisans. Each baseplate is engraved with “One of 7,” highlighting the edition’s exclusivity, and the open caseback has Sincere’s 70th Anniversary logo engraved on the sapphire glass.
Remontoir Complication
The watch’s remontoir complication, positioned beside the escape wheel, ensures a consistent transfer of energy across the watch’s power reserve. This mechanism uses an intermediate energy accumulator that is regularly re-tensioned by the gear train, ensuring a steady and precise release of energy.
Timeless Elegance
The Friedrich III Remontoir Sincere Platinum Jubilee Edition comes with a dark blue Alligator Mississippiensis leather strap, known for its durability and flexibility. The strap complements the watch’s design, which also features cathedral design polished steel hands and a domed crown. The timepiece uses 18-carat white gold for both the case and the pin buckle.
Availability
This limited edition of seven pieces will be available at all Sincere Fine Watches boutiques, with a retail price of SGD $99,690 (including GST).
