Longines HydroConquest GMT

The HydroConquest collection has been redesigned and now features an exclusive Longines GMT movement.

The HYDROCONQUEST line, renowned for its status as a true sports watch classic, has undergone a remarkable expansion with the introduction of fresh models characterized by their sleek design and the inclusion of the exclusive Longines GMT movement. This fusion of technical prowess and elegance, emblematic of the esteemed winged hourglass brand, draws inspiration from the realm of aquatic sports, while also drawing upon Longines’ storied tradition of crafting timepieces with multiple time zones.

Longines is embarking on an exciting journey, extending the boundaries of its HydroConquest line with a pioneering addition featuring a GMT complication, a first in this iconic collection that was inaugurated in 2007. This innovative feature permits the simultaneous display of time in two distinct time zones. The GMT complication is deeply rooted in history, with Longines pioneering the concept in a wristwatch as far back as 1925.

The HydroConquest GMT seamlessly marries this invaluable feature, catering to globe-trotters, with the aquatic sports aesthetic that defines it. It is tailored for today’s intrepid explorers who possess a passion for discovery and the discerning athletes who demand precision, standing as their steadfast companion in all their endeavors.

In crafting this new generation of timepieces, Longines has seamlessly blended vintage-inspired design elements with cutting-edge technological advancements. The 41mm stainless-steel case, now equipped with a screw-down back, has been thoughtfully reimagined. It houses the exclusive Longines GMT caliber, featuring a silicon balance-spring and groundbreaking components crafted from non-magnetic materials. This movement exhibits a magnetic resistance that surpasses the ISO 764 benchmark standard by tenfold and offers unparalleled precision, boasting a remarkable power reserve of up to 72 hours.

The HydroConquest GMT stands apart with its novel unidirectional notched ceramic bezel adorned with luminescent markers and a screw-in crown. The interplay of polished and satin-finished surfaces adds a touch of sophistication and refinement to these new models. The sunray dials, available in green, brown, black, and blue, are accentuated by a two-tone 24-hour scale. The gilt or silvered polished hands and hour markers are treated with Super-LumiNova®, ensuring legibility in all conditions. At 6 and 9 o’clock, you find round markers, while at 12 o’clock, a distinctive triangular marker commands attention. The date is neatly displayed at 3 o’clock, and the arrow-shaped GMT indicator harmonizes with the dial’s accents.

These HydroConquest GMT models are water-resistant to an impressive 30 bar (300 meters) and come fitted with a stainless-steel bracelet featuring a completely redesigned H-shaped link design. For the first time at Longines, it also features a micro-adjusting clasp for a customized fit. Complementing the dial hues, these new timepieces offer the option of a blue or black rubber strap with a micro-adjusting folding clasp, ensuring optimal comfort and fit. Additionally, a NATO bracelet in khaki-green or beige is available for further versatility.

The new HydroConquest GMT is the ideal companion for all your adventures, whether you’re navigating the depths of the ocean or traversing the globe. The world is your playground, and these timepieces are the perfect tool for your journey.
