Luminox celebrates 35th anniversary with three special watches

Luminox Celebrates 35th Anniversary with Release of Three New Timepieces Honoring Navy SEALs

Luminox is commemorating its 35th anniversary by unveiling three new timepieces throughout May and June 2024. These releases honor the brand’s longstanding connection with the Navy SEALs and its heritage of providing high-performance military equipment. Each watch represents an evolution of previous models, symbolizing the three operational environments of the Navy SEALs: SEA, AIR, and LAND.

The journey begins at sea, where Luminox first allied with the Navy SEALs. The Navy SEAL Original 3001.H (heritage) watch, launching on May 15th, is a revamped tribute to the original Navy SEAL model. Featuring a red “30” on the bezel to mark three decades since the release of the Original Navy SEAL 3000 watch in 1994, this model boasts a bold red arrow-tipped second hand, a sapphire glass face, and a stainless-steel bezel. This watch encapsulates Luminox’s dedication to producing high-performance, robust timepieces.

Taking to the skies, Luminox will introduce the F-117 Nighthawk x Skunk Works 6442.H on May 28th. This AIR model pays homage to the pilots who flew the stealth fighter jets and who approached Luminox nearly 25 years ago. The Skunk Works® logo, subtly visible during the day, illuminates in Super-LumiNova® at 6 o’clock, highlighting the top-secret unit’s role in advancing U.S. aviation technology. Engraved with the Skunk Works® and Lockheed Martin logos on the case back, this watch features reversed numbers on the bezel and dial, allowing it to be read in two different time zones, making it perfect for Air Force pilots and adventurous travelers alike.

The celebration culminates on land with the RECON Point Man 8825.H, launching on June 11th. Designed for those at the forefront of recon units, this sophisticated LAND watch is a vital navigation tool for military personnel and explorers. Equipped with cardinal points on the inner bezel, a tachymeter to measure walking speed, and KM and MI markers on the dial, the Point Man empowers users to navigate diverse terrains with precision and confidence.

As Luminox celebrates its rich history, each watch symbolizes a chapter in a legacy built on precision, innovation, and an enduring partnership with elite forces worldwide. These timepieces represent where the spirit of the Navy SEALs intersects with Luminox’s extraordinary craftsmanship.

All models feature the renowned Luminox Light Technology, ensuring visibility under any conditions. This technology was a crucial factor for Nick North, the Assistant Officer to the Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) unit for the Navy SEALs, in selecting Luminox as the most reliable watch for special operations. The collaboration between Luminox and the Navy SEALs remains a strong and enduring partnership.

The new timepieces will be available at select retailers and on the Luminox website starting in May 2024.
