Appointements at LVMH Watches & Jewelry Division

LVMH proudly unveils strategic leadership changes within its Watches & Jewelry Division, effective as of January 1, 2024:

Frédéric Arnault, the visionary force behind TAG Heuer since 2017 and its CEO since 2020, assumes the pivotal role of CEO for LVMH Watches. In his new capacity, he will oversee Hublot, TAG Heuer, and Zenith, reporting directly to Stéphane Bianchi, CEO of LVMH Watches & Jewelry Division. Having spearheaded the transformative journey of TAG Heuer over the last six years, Arnault’s fresh responsibilities aim to propel robust and sustainable growth for the Watch Maisons, fortifying LVMH’s influence in the watchmaking realm.

Julien Tornare, who has led Zenith since 2017, steps into the role of CEO at TAG Heuer. His extensive tenure within the Group, coupled with a profound background in the watchmaking sector, positions him strategically to advance the Maison’s ongoing development and amplify the value of its iconic collections.

Benoit de Clerck assumes the mantle of CEO at Zenith, succeeding Julien Tornare. This appointment ensures the Maison’s continued legacy of innovation while reinforcing its foundational strengths, paving the way for the evolution of Swiss watchmaking.

In this dynamic structure, Julien Tornare, Benoit de Clerck, and Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot, will all be reporting directly to Frédéric Arnault, creating a cohesive leadership framework for LVMH’s Watches & Jewelry Division.

Frédéric Arnault:

Embarking on his professional journey at the renowned consulting firm McKinsey, Frédéric Arnault later transitioned to the Facebook Artificial Intelligence Research department. His trajectory led him to TAG Heuer in 2017, where he initially spearheaded the smartwatch activities. Subsequently, he assumed the role of Chief Strategy and Digital Officer in October 2018, eventually ascending to the position of CEO in July 2020. Overseeing a workforce of more than 2000 individuals, Arnault orchestrated a comprehensive transformation plan with a singular objective: elevating the brand and enhancing its desirability. A graduate of France’s Ecole Polytechnique (X2014), his leadership has been instrumental in steering TAG Heuer into new heights.

Julien Tornare:

With an impressive 26-year tenure in the watchmaking industry, Julien Tornare’s journey commenced at Raymond Weil, where he spent two formative years. Subsequently, he dedicated 17 years to Vacheron Constantin, a Richemont subsidiary, progressing through various roles such as Director for the Swiss Market, President of the Brand in the US, HQ International Sales Director, and finally, as Managing Director for Asia-Pacific. Acquiring invaluable experience, he then took the helm as Zenith’s CEO. A graduate of IMD and the London Metropolitan University, Tornare brings a wealth of expertise to his leadership role.

Benoit de Clerck:

Boasting a quarter-century of experience in the watchmaking industry within the Richemont Group, Benoit de Clerck’s journey includes spearheading global sales in competitive luxury markets across four continents. His extensive international business development background has not only shaped his strategic acumen but also honed his ability to connect with consumers on a profound level. Prior to his tenure at Zenith, he served as Chief Commercial Officer at Panerai. A graduate of the Concordia University of Montreal, Benoit’s leadership is marked by a deep understanding of consumer needs and a keen eye for market dynamics.
