Expanding on the triumph of the AIKON, Maurice Lacroix’s urban watch, the Franches Montagnes brand is excited to introduce the AIKON PVD, available in two limited editions, each limited to 888 pieces. True to its name, the case of each model is crafted in PVD, showcasing a distinctive metallic sheen. Additionally, the dials feature a Clous de Paris motif, adding a touch of sophistication. These new models maintain the key characteristics of the popular urban watch while introducing a fresh contemporary aesthetic.
In 2016, the creative team at the Maurice Lacroix Manufacture drew inspiration from the 1990s Calypso timepiece, developing a new model that would eventually be named ‘AIKON,’ now synonymous with urban luxury.
The AIKON collection has achieved significant success, expanding to include mechanical watches in various sizes, colors, and materials. Maurice Lacroix has introduced models with different complications and skeleton options, showcasing the continuous evolution of the AIKON driven by the brand’s commitment to innovation.
Continuing this creative spirit, Maurice Lacroix introduces two PVD-coated variants with captivating metallic sheens. One model, measuring 39mm in diameter, boasts a midnight blue finish, while the other, housed in a 42mm case, features a gunmetal grey hue.
The gunmetal grey variant showcases a color-coordinated fumé dial adorned with a Clous de Paris motif, transitioning from a lighter tone at the center to a darker shade at the periphery. The AIKON PVD elegantly displays the essentials of time—hours, minutes, and seconds—ideal for those who appreciate simplicity.
An exhibition caseback reveals the automatic ML115 caliber, adorned with perlage and colimaçon. The watch comes with a matching M-branded rubber strap, and in line with all AIKON models, the AIKON PVD features the Maurice Lacroix Easy Strap Exchange system, allowing for easy strap changes without the need for tools.
