In the run-up to the tenth anniversary of the famous NOMOS Metro, designer Mark Braun has recast his original design in all-new feminine versions: three times Metro 33.
Metro 33 has introduced a fresh wave of style with its silver, sage, and muted red color options, marking the latest additions to the Mark Braun-designed watch family by NOMOS Glashütte. These timepieces beautifully encapsulate the spirit of the times. Each color represents iconic urban imagery: the urban silver mirrors the sheen of skyscrapers, the muted red evokes the red-brick charm of Brooklyn, and the sage captures the verdant allure of city parks or the Statue of Liberty.
In stainless steel, with meticulously milled sub-seconds dials, and an entirely new palette of colors, the Metro line has undergone a transformation.
Noteworthy are the exquisite details that define these watches. Whether it’s the lustrous dial of the silver version or the intricately curved double sapphire crystal glass found in all three models, the wire lugs equipped with quick-change spring bars, or the distinctive Metro crown with its diamond knurling, they all exemplify the flawless craftsmanship of Glashütte and the highest design standards. Mark Braun adds a touch of whimsy with the second hands and minute markers in shades of pink and yellow.
Mark Braun is elated with the outcome, stating, “These three smaller models are successfully expressing what my original Metro was able to express for me in 2014. Powering all three new Metro 33 versions is the NOMOS Alpha proprietary caliber, the most frequently produced and highly praised hand-wound movement from Glashütte. These three exciting new ladies’ watches, suitable for those with more slender wrists, also offer the choice of a steel or sapphire crystal back. Completing the watch’s design is a vegan velour leather strap in a light gray hue. These new models are available at selected retailers and on Nomos-Glashuette.com this fall.
