Omega hosts a golfing celebration in the Swiss mountains

To commemorate OMEGA’s 22nd year as the principal sponsor of the OMEGA Masters golf tournament, the renowned Swiss watchmaker organized a special celebration amidst the breathtaking scenery of Cry D’Er. The event featured captivating vistas of the Alps and included a notable appearance by the brand’s own ambassadors.

Taking the stage at this alpine gathering were two distinguished individuals. Hyun Bin, a highly accomplished Korean actor celebrated for his numerous roles in both film and television, including a memorable performance in the romantic drama “Crash Landing on You,” graced the event. He was accompanied by Kiko Mizuhara, a multi-talented Japanese actress, model, and designer, known for her appearances on runways worldwide. The Saturday night affair also welcomed several friends of OMEGA, including Louise Wong, a model-turned-actress, and Ayla Sham Yuet, a socialite and model, both hailing from Hong Kong.

Against the backdrop of the majestic mountains, Hyun Bin and Kiko shared their deep admiration for Switzerland and their profound affection for OMEGA’s watches and rich heritage.

Hyun Bin said, “I spent time in Switzerland during the filming of Crash Landing on You, so I really feel a personal connection to this country. It’s wonderful to be back, especially with my friends at OMEGA. Their standards of style and precision are truly the best in the industry, and it’s an honour for me to represent them.”

Kiko Mizuhara said, “OMEGA watches are always quite breath-taking, so it seems very appropriate to be up here in the mountains with such spectacular views. I’ve really enjoyed my time with the OMEGA family so far. The brand has such a rich variety of passions, so every moment together feels unique.”

The stunning Cry D’Er venue is perched at an elevation of 2,200 meters, offering a breathtaking and unforgettable backdrop. OMEGA heightened the experience by embracing a captivating Swiss motif, featuring indigenous flowers, resonant alphorns, and an expansive fresco designed in the traditional Poya style.

Raynald Aeschlimann, President and CEO of OMEGA, said “I’m always incredibly proud to welcome our international guests to Cry D’Er. Not only for the Swiss hospitality, but also to share in our love of golf. With Hyun Bin and Kiko here, this year feels extra special. In my opinion, it’s been the perfect way to spend some quality time together.”

An additional surprise awaited the attendees that evening when OMEGA’s brand ambassador, Bastian Baker, delivered an exclusive performance. As one of Switzerland’s most renowned musicians, with a substantial catalog of successful albums and accolades, his energetic tunes provided an indelible conclusion to the evening’s festivities.

Taking place at the Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club from August 31 to September 3, the OMEGA Masters stands as one of the brand’s sporting highlights each year. Originally known as the Swiss Open when it debuted in 1923, this high-altitude competition has called the same venue home since 1939, establishing itself as Europe’s oldest golf tournament played on the same course annually. OMEGA assumed the naming rights in 2001.
