Orient Star will introduce a new limited edition model, the M34 F8 Skeleton Hand-Winding, from the Contemporary Collection. This model, featuring a silicon escape wheel and a 70-hour power reserve, will be limited to 200 units and will be available from October 24, 2024. The model blends modern, stylish design with intricate details, reflecting the light of stars deep in space through its skeleton movement, captivating watch enthusiasts.
Design and Concept
The M34 collection, named after the Perseus constellation, offers one of the most diverse lineups within Orient Star. This new M34 F8 Skeleton Hand-Winding limited edition model combines refined sophistication with a relaxed feel. The design theme is based on the light of stars shining in deep space. The gray skeleton movement reflects the vastness of space, while the starry light is further emphasized by the blue gradient dial ring and the gray-plated bezel surrounding it, reinforcing the deep space imagery.
Build and Features
The case and metal band, crafted from SUS316L stainless steel, are meticulously finished with fine brushing and Zaratsu polishing, enhancing the sleek and modern form of the M34 collection. The 39mm diameter and 10.8mm thickness offer a compact, slim case, complemented by a metal band with short-pitch H-links for comfortable wear, suitable for both on and off occasions.
The skeleton movement, which reveals the internal mechanisms, has become an iconic feature of Orient Star since the release of its new-generation models in 2021. The M34 F8 Skeleton Hand-Winding features the in-house F8B61 hand-wound movement, offering a high precision rate of +15 to -5 seconds per day and incorporating a silicon escape wheel produced using MEMS technology, enabling a 70-hour power reserve. This movement, with its high performance and aesthetic appeal, brings the romantic concept of the universe to life.
Limited Edition Features
The M34 F8 Skeleton Hand-Winding is limited to 200 units and features a see-through case back engraved with “Limited Edition” and a unique serial number. In addition to the metal band, a gray genuine crocodile leather strap is included, allowing for a change in design to suit personal preferences.
