The weathervane, a gift from Sir Herbert Baker to MCC, embodies a mythical character overseeing the passage of time and is linked to Law 12.3 of the Laws of Cricket. This law signifies the end of the day’s play after the call of Time.
The watch, based on the iconic Big Crown Pointer Date design, features a 40 mm case, fluted bezel, and crown made of naturally aging bronze. It includes a bronze articulated bracelet and a sustainably sourced light brown leather strap. The case back, crafted from stainless steel, is engraved with the image of the Father Time weathervane and the limited-edition number, marking its exclusivity to 1,926 pieces, commemorating the year Father Time was gifted to Lord’s. Powering the watch is the Oris Calibre 754, a Swiss Made automatic movement that incorporates the distinctive pointer date function with a red, crescent-shaped tip.
