Marking the fourth collaboration between RESERVOIR and the iconic Popeye, known for his famous proclamation “I yam what I yam, and that’s all what I am,” this limited edition brings the beloved comic icon to the wrist in a sleek fashion. The watch seamlessly combines Popeye’s ready-for-anything attitude with the bold spirit of RESERVOIR, resulting in a true comic novelty that mirrors the strength of Popeye’s anchor arms.

The watch features a new animated version of Popeye the Sailor in a desert setting, with a camel replacing his famous boat. Dressed like a pirate, complete with a parrot and treasure chest, Popeye is set against a starry night sky with a crescent moon, creating a rich, deep blue backdrop reminiscent of vast desert skies. This creative interpretation pays homage to the character’s spirit of adventure and boldness.
The PVD gold case provides a retro feel reminiscent of old-fashioned navigational equipment, and the Indian numeral minute index is part of the retrograde minute display, a core watchmaking complication across RESERVOIR collections. The hour marker at 6 is a jumping hour complication displayed beneath Popeye’s picture in a circular window, changing instantly at the top of each hour. The brown leather strap complements the adventurous character of the watch, echoing the tough equipment of a desert adventurer.
Inside the limited-edition model is the RESERVOIR Caliber RSV-240, a next-generation automatic movement introduced in the spring of 2022. With a 56-hour power reserve, the movement allows for the retrograde minute and jumping hour display, visible through the exhibition sapphire case back adorned with a Popeye painting at its center.
The RESERVOIR watch x Popeye Camel is a bold and whimsical creation, limited to 100 pieces, each numbered as “1 of 100” with the mention “UAE Edition.” Presented in a white wooden box featuring an image of “The Popeye Family,” along with the RESERVOIR watch brand logo and “Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons” logo, this timepiece is a true collector’s item.
