The TYPE 3 engages with physics in a groundbreaking manner, canceling out light distortion for exceptional readability from any angle. The upper chamber, flooded with 3.75 ml of oil, creates a magnified projection effect, offering crystal-clear display even in varying lighting conditions, including darkness, thanks to 100% grade A Super-LumiNova® in all engraved indications.
To address temperature variations affecting the oil, Ressence employs an innovative Bellow System, a self-equilibrating pressure-balance mechanism ensuring consistent pressure and performance. This system is graphically represented by a temperature gauge on the dial, adding a visually striking element to both the TYPE 3 and the TYPE 5.
Furthermore, the oil-filled chamber ensures constant lubrication of all parts of the ROCS, resulting in minimal friction and reduced effort required by the movement’s ball bearings, contributing to enhanced mechanical efficiency.
