Seiko introduces the Shohei Ohtani 2025 Limited Edition, honoring the extraordinary achievements of Shohei Ohtani during his historic 2024 season. These timepieces commemorate a year in which Ohtani became the first player to achieve “50 home runs and 50 stolen bases,” secured his first World Series championship, and earned the National League MVP title.
Design Inspired by Legacy
The Shohei Ohtani Limited Edition is based on Seiko’s Mechanical Divers 1968 Heritage GMT model, updated with distinct visual cues. The black stainless steel case and bracelet evoke a sense of focus and determination, while the blue ceramic bezel symbolizes trust and stability, a nod to the team colors of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Red accents highlight the GMT hand, GMT logo, and the number 17 on the dial ring—subtle yet deliberate references to Ohtani’s jersey number. These design choices, paired with high-performance functionality, aim to reflect the spirit of perseverance that defines Ohtani’s career.

At the heart of both models lies Seiko’s Caliber 6R54 automatic movement, offering:

The cases, crafted from stainless steel and complemented by a ceramic bezel insert, measure 42mm in diameter, with a thickness of 12.9mm and a lug-to-lug distance of 48.6mm. Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating ensures durability and readability.
Unique Features
Each watch incorporates Seiko’s Lumibrite material on the hands, indices, and bezel markings, ensuring optimal visibility in low-light conditions. A notable detail includes the engraved crown bearing the number 17, a direct homage to Ohtani. The case back, marked with “LIMITED EDITION” and a unique serial number, reinforces the exclusivity of the models.
Both models are presented in special packaging, featuring Ohtani’s autograph alongside “Shohei Ohtani Limited Edition” lettering, further distinguishing these as collector’s items.
