Commencing his swimming journey at the age of 6, Qin Haiyang gained prominence by winning his first national competition at 15 and subsequently claiming the gold medal at the National Games at 18. His notable achievements culminated in 2023, marked by success at the World Aquatics Championships, where he secured four titles and set a world record in the men’s 200m breaststroke in July. Qin continued his winning streak with multiple gold medals at the Asian Games and triumphed at the World Aquatics Swimming World Cup in the breaststroke category.
