In a continuation of its innovative journey that began with the groundbreaking TAG Heuer Aquaracer Solargraph two years ago, TAG Heuer proudly unveils a fresh lineup – the TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200 Solargraph watches. These exceptional timepieces are crafted for enduring performance and seamless wear, positioning them as the ideal companions for outdoor enthusiasts.
This remarkable collection pays tribute to the adventurous legacy of the Aquaracer series, now presented in a brand-new size of 34 mm.
Aquaracer Heritage
The rich lineage of the TAG Heuer Aquaracer traces back to 1978 when Jack Heuer introduced the Heuer Reference 844, a timepiece tailored for adventure seekers. This versatile watch, catering to both men and women engaged in sports and challenges on land or in water, paved the way for a category of high-performance, all-condition timepieces. Officially named the TAG Heuer Aquaracer in 2004, it has embodied a philosophy of boldness, activity, and harmony with nature. In 2022, TAG Heuer introduced the Solargraph technology with a 40mm timepiece featuring a carbon bezel, powered by a solar movement. Following a titanium version in 2023, 2024 introduces the 34mm size, adding a touch of elegance and functionality to the Aquaracer collection.
The new 34mm models retain the key features of the Aquaracer collection, including a unidirectional rotating bezel, screw-down crown, water resistance to 200 meters, luminous markings, sapphire crystal, and a double safety clasp.
Snow And Starlight
The latest line presents five new dials, each imparting a distinct character to the timepieces.
The everyday line offers two watches, one featuring TAG Heuer’s iconic Aquaracer Polar Blue dial and the other in TAG Heuer’s signature blue dial. The latter incorporates signature Solargraph elements, including polar blue accents on the second hand, dial markings, and minute track, serving as visual hallmarks of the Solargraph technology. These dials exude charm, ideal for those seeking everyday elegance in their sporting pursuits.
Breaking new ground, TAG Heuer introduces mother-of-pearl dials for the Solargraph series, a first for the collection. Adapting mother-of-pearl to meet Solargraph technology’s demands, TAG Heuer ensures visibility while allowing light to pass through, resulting in elegant dials that showcase avant-garde design.
The luxury references include three exquisite timepieces, featuring a sleek version, one adorned with diamonds on the indexes, and a third with diamonds gracing both the indexes and bezel. Departing from typical polar blue accents, these watches introduce understated elegance in perfect harmony with elevated luxury.
The interplay of diamonds and mother-of-pearl dial enhances the enchantment of the watches, mirroring the sparkle of the first snowfall, brilliantly captured in the design.
An Elegant Transformation
While retaining the historic design code, TAG Heuer’s designers modernized the ergonomic riders on the bezel for these new timepieces, departing from rectangular or triangular forms. The reimagined trapezoidal shape riders align with trapezoidal indexes on the dial, providing a refined and feminine touch to the watch. The mother-of-pearl dial watch with diamonds on both indexes and bezel maintains the enduring 12 o’clock triangle, a powerful TAG Heuer aesthetic code, emphasizing brilliance with a 1.8mm diamond.
Sleek and Stylish
Intricately designed and meticulously crafted, the TAG Heuer Aquaracer Solargraph series is equipped with a solar quartz movement, offering time, date, and second-hand functionalities. With a focus on ergonomics, the lug-to-lug distance has been modified to ensure a compact fit for a wide range of wrist sizes, especially for women. The proportions have been fine-tuned for a sleek profile with a case thickness of just 9.5mm, making it a comfortable and stylish choice for any occasion.
Sun-Powered Precision
TAG Heuer’s Solargraph movement harnesses the sun, offering numerous benefits. With no need to change the watch’s battery, a two-minute exposure to direct sunlight can power the watch for an entire day. Once fully charged, the watch can run for up to 10 months with no light exposure. If it stops, a mere ten seconds of exposure to any light source is enough to restart it. The Calibre TH50-01, developed exclusively for TAG Heuer in partnership with Manufacture La Joux-Perret in Switzerland, comes with a 5-year extended warranty.
