Timex Marlin Jet

In the latest update to their mid-century Marlin, Timex introduces the Marlin Jet as a contemporary muse for retro-futurism enthusiasts. This timepiece captures the design ideals of the 1960s, featuring a sleek new case and a unique crystal that elevates its retro appearance to a whole new dimension.

The Marlin Jet boasts a 38mm brushed stainless-steel case, presenting a fresh silhouette to the iconic Marlin line. The standout feature is the domed Hesalite crystal enveloping the bezel, covering the entire top surface of the watch case. This crystal seamlessly blends into the sides, leaving only the lugs exposed. The sides smoothly transition to a screwed-on exhibition case back, providing a view of the Japanese automatic movement. The case back mirrors the crystal’s domed contour, enhancing the watch’s streamlined profile and space-age aesthetics.

Beneath the crystal, the Marlin name adorns the grooved bezel, and a silver-white concave dial features a crosshair pattern and a 24-hour format sub-dial beside the 9 o’clock marker. Concentric circle patterns adorn key locations: beneath the dome on the inner bezel, on the crown, and on the case back.

To complement the Marlin Jet’s streamlined profile, it is paired with a blue woven perlon strap. This choice not only introduces a distinctive textural element to the watch’s clean design but also adds a touch of modernity to its retro aesthetic.

With its smooth silhouette, captivating crystal, and understated detailing, the Marlin Jet is presented as a portal to ’60s futurism. Enthusiasts are encouraged to explore and shop this sleek timepiece now.
