Dial Design
The U5S-TA ‘Blu Notte’ is designed for daily wear and features a ‘Blu Notte’ midnight blue dial. Concentric circles pressed into the dial surface evoke the imagery of rippling water. This visual effect, typically reserved for subdials, is fully realized across the dial’s face. The cool gray open seconds rail and dial trims complement the design, while ladder hour and minute hands, along with a reverse lollipop second hand with gray tips, glide above the dial. Super-LumiNova® C1 fills the hour markers and hands, ensuring exceptional readability in low-light conditions.
Case and Movement
The 36mm stainless steel case of the U5S-TA houses the automatic caliber Sellita SW200-1b. This movement operates at 28,800bph, offers a 41-hour power reserve, and includes a hacking feature. The case back features a detailed engraving of concentric circles, mirroring the dial’s design. Additionally, it bears the engraved phrase ‘Remove Jacket and Tie Before Diving’—a whimsical touch. Each piece is individually numbered out of a limited edition of 50.

“I’ve been a fan of Unimatic since their earliest releases. Their watches have a thoughtful simplicity that I greatly admire, but I could not find one compact enough for my taste. Last year, Giovanni and Simone showed me the prototype for their 36mm Modello Cinque, and I was smitten. We proposed a collaboration immediately. We aimed to create a stylish, sturdy watch with a splash of colour and detail in the dial typical of The Armoury aesthetic. The Modello Cinque U5S-TA ‘Blu Notte’ features a 36mm diameter case, with a lug-to-lug length of 43.7mm and a thickness of 11.05mm. The case is crafted from 316 stainless steel, finished with a brushed surface, and is water-resistant up to 300 meters. The sapphire lens is double-domed with an inner anti-reflective coating. The watch is powered by the automatic Sellita SW200-1b movement, offering a 41-hour power reserve and hacking seconds hand.
